„Ruhr Area“ - Germany's largest metropolitan area

The Ruhr Area – more than coal, steel & beer! Even if the part about the beer is still true.😉 With its location in the center of Europe, excellent traffic links, and a flourishing startup scene, the Ruhr Area has developed into one of the most promising locations in Germany and Europe. Leading companies, that have settled in this area, come from various sectors including IT, energy technology, environment, robotics, production technology, microsystems, and nanotechnology. Among them are some global market leaders as well as some hidden champions.

Digital Shapers for the Ruhr Area

To further accelerate the economic, cultural, and diverse growth of the Ruhr Area – a real tech hub –, it needs its youth and more tech talents. And that’s why we decided to establish TechLabs Ruhr! Our plan for the location is to offer the full Digital Shaper Program. It doesn't matter whether you‘re studying art, teaching, or engineering and have little or no coding experience. We want to unite people with diverse backgrounds and create an educational and inspiring journey. During the 6-month program, you can learn new tech skills or expand your existing ones in these areas:

• Data Science

• Web Development

• Artificial Intelligence

• UX Design

As part of our community, you will work on online courses, participate in social events, learn from workshops with our local corporate partners, and develop hands-on coding projects to deepen your digital skills.
